Bounce rate is one more rate that is quite important in the email marketing activity. It denotes a proportion of the bounces – undelivered messages that have been sent – to the whole number of emails which were mailed. Just like the deliverability rate, the bounce rate seems to be important from the point of view of the effectiveness of the email campaign. It is essential that the mails which have been sent by the certain company will be delivered to the recipients without any problems. Otherwise sending them would be waste of time and money, because the aim of the advertising campaign would not be reached. And that aim is to reach as many people at the same time as possible – so gaining many clients with little effort. Bounce rate means then that something is wrong with the system because the messages are not delivered. If they do not reach potential clients, the less people will see attractive offers and discounts contained in the advertising emails. It means that the company will not earn much money and the campaign will not be a success.
