E-mail marketing is a kind of direct marketing that uses electronic e-mails as a means of sending commercials to prospects. Recently, this form of advertising becomes very popular with companies. It has a lot of advantages, but there are drawbacks as well. Kind of the serious problem can be the matter of e-mail deliverability. A report issued by one of the e-mail services company showed that high e-mail deliverability is still an issue for legitimate marketers. According to this report, legal e-mail servers averaged a delivery rate only of about fifty six percent. What is more, 20% of the messages were rejected and 9% of them were filtered. In case of this so low rate of deliverability, companies considering the use of an e-mail marketing program have to make sure that their program does not violate spam laws or their dreams about successful advertising campaign won’t come true. Of course, there would be benefits, but not as huge as they could be. So there is no other advice as encourage companies to take action.
