Term social media has started to be used in year two thousand and six, it is a was defined as a media that are created by a society. It is people are who provide any information and people who decide about what they want to know. There are no journalists nor editors nobody influence what is written, that is why it gains so much. According to some sources Chris Shipley was the first person who used the term ‘Social media’. There are some main differences between normal (industrial) media and media discussed now. Main feature of it is that social media has very big accessibility. Almost everybody who has an access to a computer and the internet can take part in developing this new media by low cost or no costs at all. Other good point is permanence, for example blogs, any article can be edited updated when article in a newspaper cannot. It would have to be republished again but the original cannot be corrected once printed out. That was probably most convenient advantage.
